I did an LS swap once and had a horrible squeak when I drove the car once it built up crank pressure. It ended up being I had the vacuum lines wrong and the engine was not venting correctly. Quick way to test is to remove the oil fill cap while it’s squeaking. In my case I could feel the vacuum as you try to remove the oils cap. The squeak would go away also. Supposedly the squeak is the engine trying to suck in air from the crank seal. Hopes this helps.

I had the same issue with a 5.3 and it was a cam bearing.

You're going have the cleanest shop around by the time you're done.

I’m like almost certain that a roller lifter is locked up on that camshaft in the ramp truck. Seen quite a few LS motors eat lifters and they chirp and squeak exactly like that.

Are there no inner wheel wells in the back? Imagine the crap that's going to spray everywhere.

Mine was squealing like that and it was the power steering pump.

So we have it, this dirty ole Ford has bin turned into something beautiful. Well done.

Every time people get upset if you say something so you know as they say if you got nothing good to say don't say it. Oh I got nothing good to say about Karl.

At first I thought it was probably an idler pulley, but if you think it's in the transmission it could be a throw out bearing or the pilot pushing?. If it was the throttle bearing you would change when you pressed on the clutch.

Idler or tensioner?

1967 every car maker in the US switched from single to dual master cylinders. I always recommend upgrading the 1966 and older cars to dual circuit masters, it's an important safety upgrade, an easy bolt in upgrade.

I'm secretly glad all that bare steel on the ramp truck didn't go on the road. Hope it's an easy fix, but it needs protection against the wet before it hits the road!

An awesome trip and a great comedy pairing if there ever was one. Despite the Ramp Truck not being there for the whole time.. arriving home all smiles etc. I wonder if it would have been ‘all smiles’ if the Ramp Truck had made the journey ? Comfort is a wonderful thing. Maybe the ramp truck needs done tweaks without going overboard? (After it’s fixed of course) That CNC is the ‘Dogs Obvious’ FastCut have picked two of the best fabricators and ‘Tubers’ out there in UA-cam Land. (Other great fabricators are available) Have you a buyer for your old CNC, Brent? Keep working together there is an obvious energy and friendship happening before our eyes it’s a rare thing that makes me smile when watching a UA-cam video. Best wishes from Scotland.
